Check before wiring
- nRF9160 GPIO is routed through analog switches controlled by the onboard nRF52840 — signals can be silently rerouted to onboard LEDs/buttons if the switch state isn't configured as expected (hardware user guide).
- Nordic recommends the newer nRF9151 DK for new designs; this is a mature previous-generation platform.
- The cellular modem needs correct SIM and antenna setup before it will attach to a network.
