Check before wiring
- Not compatible with shields that output 5 V digital or analog signals — driving shield pins above the 3.3 V bank voltage can damage the FPGA (reference manual §11).
- High-speed Pmods JB/JC ship with 0 Ω shunts instead of series protection resistors — no short-circuit protection.
- JP1 selects SPI-flash vs JTAG configuration at power-on; an unset/wrong jumper is a common 'board won't boot' cause.
- External supply must be 7–15 V center-positive; there is no reverse-polarity protection beyond the source-arbitration MOSFET.
